The right dining room set should seat your family and friends comfortably and give you plenty of room for meals, socializing, and more. So often, your dining room set becomes the hub for parties and get-togethers, don’t you want them to look amazing? If you are curious about how to choose the right set for your space, we can help. Here are some of the most common questions we hear from customers about our dining sets.
What is the difference between dining height, counter height and bar height dining sets?
The difference between a standard dining room set, and a counter height or bar height dining set is just a matter of a few inches. A dining height table is typically 28 to 30 inches tall, a counter height table is typically 34 to 36 inches tall, and a bar height table is typically 40 to 42 inches tall. When choosing the right size for your home, we recommend that you consider both the size of your dining room or eat-in kitchen and how easy it will be for every member of your family to seat themselves comfortably around your kitchen or dining room table.
Can I buy extra chairs with my dining set?
Yes, you can buy extra dining chairs with your dining set. Additional chairs are generally sold in sets of two. Please note, however, that all in one box sets do not have additional chair options. If you need help finding extra seating that complements your dining set, please let us know!
What is a storage table?
A storage table has small drawers located on the side of the table or shelves/drawers in the base of the table. These types of dining sets are great for people who use their dining room table for more than just eating, or for families who need a little extra storage close at hand!
How many people do your dining sets seat?
Our dining sets range in size to accommodate 2 to 10 people. Many of our tables extend to seat more guests. If you have questions about a particular piece, please feel free to ask an associate!
How should I care for my new dining room set?
The best way to care for your new dining room set is to follow the manufacturer's instructions. For most tables, clean spills with a soft, damp cloth, and then dry the wood to avoid water damage. Dust weekly and give it a complete polish annually to keep your dining table in tip-top shape.
