Cool weather, pumpkin-flavored everything, and family coming to town — fall is here! With the holidays come guests, which means it’s time to get ready by (pumpkin) spicing up your guest room!
If you’re starting from scratch, here’s your Guest Room Game Plan. (If you’ve already got your guest room started, skip to Step #2.
Step 1: The Bedroom Set
The Ideal: A complete set with bed, dresser, mirror, chest, and nightstand. In addition to a restful night, you are providing guests with enough storage for their travel things. For a strong design foundation, choose a matching set. Here are some examples of gorgeous bedroom sets you and your guests will fall in love with.
Warm and cozy: The deep wood tones of the Suncadia Set are the perfect match for the bright colors of fall. Add neutral bedding with bright pops of autumn-colored throw blankets and pillows. They set the ideal mood for sitting around the fire with the family and some apple cider.
Outdoorsy: The lighter, natural tones of the Trishley Set open up the room and give guests a feel of the outside world with no chilly side effects! Include warmer colors in your accents like burnt orange and burgundy.

Already have a few pieces? Create your own bedroom set! Find a dresser in a medium finish that pulls light and dark pieces together. Buy an accent table you like for a nightstand. This rule of fashion applies: It doesn’t have to match — it just has to go!
Other options: A practical route is to double your home office with a guest bedroom. Invest in furniture like in the Conrad 3 Pc. Sofa, Chair, and Ottoman Set below which is can be a sleeping spot for guests or seating when you’re working.
Step 2: Seating
Adding cushy chairs and benches takes care of several needs. Chairs like the Harper Chair provide a comfy spot to take a phone call or answer emails.
Ottomans and benches make it handy to store things like extra blankets and pillows.
Step 3: Accents
Whether you’re starting over or freshening up, you’ll need finishing touches in your guest room.
From the bottom up: Everyone wants their guests to be snug as a bug in a rug! Rugs bring a room together and are essential if you have wooden floors. Try geometric or abstract patterns with classic colors, like our Tremont Trellis Rug, or a solid accent color to open up for other patterns throughout the room, like our Casual Elegance Gold Shag Rug.
Warming up: Light the night with the Quinden Fireplace, a straight shot into Cozytown!
Dress it up: Select accents that personalize, like inspiring wall art, cute pillows, and more.
Whatever you choose, remember, it is just as important that you love your guest room as much as your guests will.
